New Wellington Hotel Tag

Went back out to the city dump site & dug this at around 4 inches!!! (NEW WELLINGTON HOTEL - WICHITA, KANSAS - #36 - IF CARRIED AWAY RETURN UNSEALED - BY MAIL POSTAGE 3 CENTS) solid brass, very large tag.

That's a neat find!

The 1937 Wichita Directory says the New Wellington Hotel was located at 117 S. Main.

I believe the 3 cent rate was good through late 1958.
