Newbie finds gold ring

4 times out with new excal and came across a 10kt , 6.1g girl,s school ring. My first gold ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Being that its my first ring and decent find of any kind(exept a 1920 wheat penny)which doesn't even come close. And the fact that I'm an unemployed construction worker, means I get to keep the ring,right?

Return the ring to its owner if you can. Please don't mail it to the school. I work for a major city high school, and the people here will steal anything. Keeping it for yourself (you worked for it) is more honest than enabling another school employee to steal.

Good for you finding the first gold. Like some where saying it is a great feeling to return a class ring or any ring if you can. I know the first class ring I found and so far the only one. I tracked the gentlmen ( his mother )down in Bowling Green,MO, I live in MD and found it in VA. He was in Iraq fighting for us so we can enjoy this great hobby. I sent the ring to his mother after she called me and described it. Him and his mother both sent me e-mails thanking me. Love this hobby.

Returning rings is honorable, yet be careful....there are people who look to scam....and if they get the chance they will...
