NEWBIE FROM CENTRAL GEORGIA

JUST WANTED TO SAY HEY FROM CENTRAL GEORGIA!!
I mostly relic hunt fields, old homesites & woods. Deer season is drawing to a close where I hunt so I'm starting to get the detecting bug again!!
I hope everybody has a wonderful Christmas!!

I hunted an old home in Eatonton once with a large yard. The house had been shot up by Yankees when they passed through town during Sherman's March to the Sea, and still had minie balls embedded in the old logs beneath the siding that formed the basis of the house. I didn't find any CW stuff but dug a nice 1896 Barber quarter, so you're in a good place to find some nice stuff. Good luck & Happy Holidays!

Thanks Slingshot, I've found some minnie balls and the GMI button(my avatar) in the woods around my house. I've also found some old silver spoons and flat button close by so I think I might be close to where some CW soldiers may have camped or spent some time. That's what I'm hoping anyway.
