Newbie here! Garrett Ace 250 coil just stopped working.

I pulled out the Garrett last night and it wasnt detecting anything. The Batteries are new, the readout screen works perfect, the coil connection is clean and tight. Do coils go bad? is there a way to check coils?

If you wave a piece of metal over the coil do you see a icon flash on the screen. If it flash’s, do you have a headphone jack adapter plugged into the headphone jack?
