I've finally decided to jump into this hobby. Looking to spend between 300-1400 for a metal detector. Can any one please help me find a best for the buck kind of deal?

If I was you Id start out with a model for around 400.00 until you find out if you are going to keep an interest in this hobby.

what is a good one for 400? My dad lives near some old indian land. He is always finding arrow heads and stuff.
