Hopefully since the "dog tag" is not broken in half the soldier survived the war, that tag is designed so that if a soldier dies you break it on the 3 slotted perforations and one half stays with the soldier and the other half is sent back to military officials/parents.Emotional find just, before Christmas , rare ``dogs signal unit``, very seldom seen ...
