Nice Crotal Bell and Bullets

Went out today to detect an old overgrown wagon road that leads to an 1880's mine. Got a not so great signal but I dig everything in this area as there isn't a lot of trash. First thing out of the hole is a buckle followed by another buckle with some old leather still attached and a rivet, my pin pointer is still screaming, another shovelful brings up this Crotal bell. I'm not sure of the age but have been told the old ranchers use to put these on their horses when they turned them out for the night so they could be found more easily. Overall a good hunt also found old cartridges and some modern bullets.

OK yardgoat..im definitely not a crotal/sleigh/church bell expert, but that beast looks OLD! Appears..less ornate or maybe a lot simpler than other ones posted...awesome in my eyes! Great find, Ddf.
