Josh and I stopped by two spots today, the one from our last post and also an old site from the summer.. My favorite find of the day is definitely the early silver cuff button.
At first I was thinking roman numeral "II", but now it's pretty clear there is a line connecting the two columns "H" Oh well, probably the owner's initial. Also ended up with a clipped quarter of a 2 reale pistareen. I also heard from Josh today that a few people think that we buy our finds and post them
at least we started out with a good laugh from that... (look up the military enlisted paycharts for E-5's) I wish I could buy nice relics
Hope y'all are gettin out for some fall relic hunting.. Jeff
Here's the dirty finds

I'll start with this unknown
(a lot of civil war stuff has come from here)

Pretty sure this is the end of a brass, silver-plated spoon (initals "JH")

A large lead seal (no idea what it says.. crud doesn't wanna come off)

1/4 piece of early 1700's 2 reale & silver cufflink "H"

and the group (few blank buttons, musketballs, few nails, tongue to a shoe buckle, etc)
