I haven't been out much over the past few weeks due to work but after the downpours we had recently I had to go and I'm glad I did. I found 2 large knives in good condition for the age and location where I found them. I also found 4 points in really great shape .... 2 of them are just missing a small portion of the tip. I found a lot of brokes too I took a pic of some of them. Hey rock I'm in Maryland ..... I usually hunt the Chester river in Kent county but all of those came from spots I looked growing up in Cecil county

Wow! You did good.

Nice hunt! I love those large ferruginous quartzite points. You are hunting near the epicenter for that type material, with the main source theorized to be Herring Island in the Elk River. Sweet points, HH

Thanks for the info I didn't know about herring island ..... Looks like a pretty small island ...... I'm guessing it used to be a lot larger before erosion and rising water levels

I have a habit of taking home with me different quartz rocks I find while hunting. Always fascinated with other peoples quarts points, awesome finds

You cleaned up nice. Gotta take advantage of that rain when it comes. They are all nice, but really like that fourth piece. wtg
