Relic Hunting
Hello Everyone,

Today, after weathering the nasty storm I had to get out for a quick swing in the cold and periodic snow fall. Using the Tesoro Outlaw with settings: Sen=6, Disc=L on foil and slightly neg. ground balanced I spent 3 ½ hours playing in the dirt. The finds were a mix of clad and jewelry with very little trash dug. The ground was super saturated so plug digging and replacement was a breeze with little to no trace of my presence.

Finds: Clad coins a Wheat Cent and inexpensive jewelry

Thank you for looking.

Professor, You did well while hunting in wet and cold weather.

Nice job Professor. Looks like you had a "charmed" hunt.

Great hunt Bud! Glad you got out and scratched the itch.

the digging is quite easy here too, in fact, the deer were leaving very deep tracks in the woods, probably over an inch deep from just walking. the ground is like walking on a sponge. glad you managed to get out, we are in the rain again.

Prof, good to see ya got out and scratched around, looked like a very fun day! Jewelry, inexpensive or not, is still a lot of fun to dig. There's always that rush we get when we see a ring in the hole, because sometimes they do contain precious metal. Kudos on gettin' while the gettin's good...Ddf

Looks like a fun hunt,, hope you didn't get too muddy.
Congratulations on your finds.

I’d be happy to find a few things from that haul. I’m still new with my detector & don’t have skills yet...:sadsanta:

Great finds, POE, Jewelry is jewelry and beats the heck out of can slaw any day! Sub 8-)

Very nice finds. Same ground conditions here (well, up until yesterday's snow storm anyway). I'll miss the soft soil digging for sure!

Nice work Doc. Have any secrets to not leave a imprint in dry sugar sand and sand spurs?:icon_scratch:

Superb hunt, congrats!
I too cannot wait to get out and scratch the itch!
My itch is still under 4" of snow, but it's melting fast...
