One of the old farmsteads I'm hunting has been a bit stingy with the finds. They're coming, but its kinda slow. So far, it's given up some clad, a couple of older Jefferson nickels, a nice old padlock and CW era stirrup (both currently soaking in Evaporust), a 1944 silver Washington quarter and some household misc brass pieces. Yesterday I got back out there for a couple of hours and found this nice 1891 Indian Head, a silver-plated spoon (patent date 1904) and this other item I can't ID. It's a little larger than a nickel and not quite as big as a quarter. The only writing on it says "PLATED" and the font looks like some I've seen on 19th century civilian buttons' back marks. It appears to be brass or copper. Any ideas?
