If you remember my series off the beaten path with all the Indians... well today with heavy snow in the forcast I decided to get in what might be my last hunt for a while so i went to a spot where myself, Johnnymc and Markgpa got some 50 Indians and other stuff. We had hammered it pretty good but I wanted to try my new 5" coil...I got the 1888 Indian (its a beauty) right next to a tree and the 1919 wheat right next to a log. seems the 5" coil can just sneak into the smallest places and is pretty sensitive..
Thanks for looking H.H. TnT

Very nice IH. The soil must be good. Most of mine are pretty green. Good hunting, Rexcats

great detail on that IH...you can still see the diamonds on the headband!!

Great to still be able to hunt. We're getting it pretty hard right now with snow, but thinking about hunting this weekend.

That IH is a beaut!

How deep were the finds?

I snuck out for the same reason yesterday, but not with the same results.

WTG!

This site is strange we have found everything at 3-4" even a couple of large cents at that depth, and a lot of the Indians have great detail, I got a 1864 there in the fall and it was perfect other than being green.. TnT

Of all the older place's I've hunted I still haven't found an Injun....Nice looking coin Tnt....HH!!

Hey civilman My secret so shhhhh...he he....It takes time and you often get skunked but I just pick some woods that look good and spend a little time in them, if I get anything then I hammer that area, otherwise I move on...seems to work for me.

Way to go there, Easton. Good luck in those woods. My favorite place to hunt.

I have noticed the older Indians come out much better than say a 1901, They seem to look more like wheat's as far as being in bad shape...

Wow, that is a nice IH, way to go, in this cold wet weather. I'm sending the snow your way as I type. We had over 3 foot drifts here in NW Ohio tonight. Hope you don't get hit to bad.

Take care and can't wait for SPRING, Ringfinder
