Anyone have a nice knife form they would like to show?

This piece was laying on a table at a local farm retirement auction 3 miles from me a few years ago. It’s just over 4.5 inches long.
The home place was in a very desirable location right above a creek. I asked the owner about it, he said he found it nearby. Only artifact he had ever picked up. I suspect the place holds much more. It’s along the same creek most of the sites I hunt are on.
i couldn’t stay long enough for it to sell so I left a little cash with a friend and got it.

I knew you had some tucked away. Real nice knives.

Here's one of my favorites. Just beautiful material. I found it and the "wicked" one in post 38 under "Let's see your favorite arrowhead" within minutes of each other. Glad I "rescued" it because the pan scraper would've scooped it up about 5 minutes later. I'm proud of what I was able to find out there over 30 years ago, but I still hurts to think of what was destroyed.

Very nice!

We don’t see many artifacts from Idaho here.

A few more from Custer County, IdahoResized_20181117_091114.webpResized_20181117_091139.webpResized_20181117_091151.webpResized_20181117_091202.webpResized_20181117_091231.webp

I think it was a knife once, I just spent 7 hours mowing and I thought of this one, found it in my yard near a tree while mowing, almost dismissed it as another leaf but decided to stop and check and I wasn’t disappointed, never did get a solid id but judging by the base it’s an old one. Now I always mow that area slowly just in case

Yow, Quito. Killer stuff.

Here's a Guilford(?) that I found in west central Georgia probably 25 years ago. Not real common to find quartzite points in our area, especially compared to North Georgia, but to find one in red is very unusual. Looks like strawberry preserves. It has fine serrations and heavy basal grinding. I may be off on my typing here since the Guilford is more of a NC point, so I'm open to being schooled here.

Amazing they were able to get the serrations so well.Pretty quartz

@ sandchip--that may be a Guilford Stemmed.

Good gosh, that's what this senile old ******* meant to type. Thanks for setting me straight. I'm gonna try to do what damage control I can and go back and correct myself. Thanks again, Tdog!

What's worse, I meant to put this in the backlit thread.

Back to my uncertainty about typing it as a Guilford, are they normally found with serrations and basal grinding?

Here's another one asymmetrical one that I really like. I found it last spring. Not sure what type this one is. I'm terrible with typing them.

My father-in-law has some really nice ones, but it's hard to get good photos of them. I'll try one day to get some good shots of the Lost Lakes, Thebes, and large knives that he's found. Here's a decent smaller one that he found last fall. I really like the material and it's sharp as can be.
