Great point can't wait to see what ya find in the field.

that is a pretty one...wish I had a farmer next to my house too!

Nice save on that one. Not that little though and it is a real eye catcher.

Thanks Rock. Hopefully I'll get a few more out of there after a good rain.

Hey Reb,
Looking forward to tomorrow's hunt. I think I know what I want in trade for the Starksville tag!:laughing7:

I hope so cause that one is sweet. I bet you were smiling when you got permission to hunt that area. I believe some colors were only meant for the Cheifs of the tribes and the other colors were for everyone else. I would say the nice bright colors were for the people with high regards in their tribe.

There is a lot of red material here. So it is not rare to find a red point down here. There is really nice stuff made of red flint and then there's stuff that ain't so good. So, I don't think that there was a color code for points or at least not down this way. JMO

I have always heard in this area the large white ones were the Chiefs. That info came from the local collectors.

I appreciate the offer of the point but you're not getting off that easy! That point really looked good in person. I enjoyed today's hunt even though the finds were less then spectacular. My St Louis piece is part of a lock.
