Hello, :hello:

My Cousin is up from NC. We were going to dig a private sidewalk tear out but instead of alarm the owners of the homes we asked permission. :dontknow: We could not talk to the people getting the work done so the elderly parents of the people doing the work told us to come back. 8-) I hope we can catch them before they poor the concrete. :BangHead: Anyway we went to our fall back location. :occasion14: We hunted 1/4 of the easement of an old school, found trash and clad at first and landed this unique vintage real/fake turquoise and sterling Jewelry of some kind. :icon_scratch: Its marked GC01 and .925 (The GC01 from what I can find means its a vintage and maybe Native or Mexican.) Weighs seven (7) grams with the stone and is about the size of a quarter. If anyone has any more information that would be great. Here are some picture, I hope you enjoy !! :notworthy:

(Please read Update further down bellow)
Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

Gorgeous old ring - wonderful find! :occasion18::blob6::occasion18: I'm sure someone here will be able to give you good idea of it's age and hopefully origin also.

Turquoise is one of my fave stones. My dad taught himself a little silversmithing and then made turquoise nugget rings for us four adult daughters, and for himself and my mom he made more elaborate silver rings with turquoise, coral, & a black stone. :cat: Andi

Have used a Whites that I bought when I was 17, it was broken in storage this winter, Looking at a Garret 350

The attachment on the back leads me to believe its a bolo tie....western wear. I would lean towards this being a real stone!

Looks to even be Native american maybe Navajo made? Turquoise is a usual center piece.

I agree with the earlier comment about it being a bolo tie ornament , and that it is turquoise and likely Native American made . Nice

:cross:OMG, OMG, - READ THIS NOW (Update) !!:cross:

I looked further into this GC-01 thing. :icon_scratch: Turns out this Hallmark could be from Pepe Cerroblanco... Holly crap, this guy comes from a long line of Jewelers who studied in Italy. His pieces sell at places like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's at New York and has displayed at other Prestige Galleries... :occasion14: This guy is a Mexican designer, up to par with Tiffany and Co. :tongue3: If your going to find a Mexican Piece. This is the kind you want to find !! :headbang: Sadly its not Native I would have like that more but... :dontknow:I'm not complaining, thanks for more comments !! :notworthy: Here are some after photos after a little cleaning and straitening !!

Keep @ it and HH !!

The value of this piece if restored could be $50 or more, as is I'd say $20- $25... 8-) That's a big difference between my original appraisal of $5 for scrap !! :icon_scratch:

I'm ecstatic !! :laughing9:
