That is a great find. Was this in a field that had been plowed? Odd that it was on the surface. Maybe found by someone and then dropped? ( I have done that ).

Thanks All. It was found on a foot path at an old hotel site. Very strange. Here is button cleaned up. Backmark indicates it's 1840s.
