Nicely embossed Gordons Gin bottle

I found this bottle while hunting a wooded area up in CT. It's embossed "Gordons" on the front. Over the Gordons is "Federal Law Prohibits Sale Or Reuse Of This Bottle", and it says "Linden" on one side, and New Jersey" on the other. One of the numbers on the bottom is 54, so I believe it dates to 1954. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!
