Nicest point in a while

I found this beauty yesterday while hunting with my Brother here in Massachusetts. It's the nicest point I've found in a while.

that is one pretty point...what is the material?...I love the mottled colors.
 

looks like a type of granite
musta been awful hard to work
it looks extra sharp....i mean sharp

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a type of granite and yes, it is really sharp. Maybe the sharpest one I've ever found.
 

Not sure I've seen the material before, but we do have a great many regional felsites. It's definitely not granite, though, guys. Beautiful stuff, might be a felsite. It's a Middle Woodland Fox Creek I think.

This is is not the same material, but may be from the same family of material...

Thanks guys, it really is a nice one. I've been picking it up a lot today, it's just a really great one to have in your hand. I had ID's it as a Fox Creek, same as Charl.

I showed it to my Dad, who knows WAY more than me about geology and he said it was almost certainly some type of Felsite.
