For the last three hunts I must have dug at least 50 clad nickels trying to find gold, today I only found three but old ones two dateless buffs and a nice 1896 V also got a flat button the other button could be from the 1930's 40's.. Three White's, one Fisher and a Minelab.....I'm beginning to wonder if I am a metal detectorist .....or a collector of metal detectors?

You know how it goes. Gold will come. Really like the finds so far too, a V nickel and a couple buffs is a nice day for me!

I found many gold rings digging nickels, but I have found a couple gold bracelets below the nickel range..

50 clad nicks is far better than the 50 something pull-tabs I dug yesterday ! Grats on the buffs and V ! I keep proving there's no gold in that park out here! Still I am stubborn lol

nickels tend to attack my ATPro coil in the hunt for gold also. sadly the 2 hole rectangle pull tabs can do a great imitation of a nic. :-(

I'd love to dig those 3 nickles. I have only dug one buffalo and the V nickle is still on my bucket list. I have pulled more nickles this season over last. Sorry you did not pull any gold, but you did pull 6 nice keepers. :occasion14:

That certainly makes you King of the nickels! There must have been some games going on there!
Great buffs and V nickels and button! Congrats!

My detector reads some of the pull tabs and those metal pencil eraser tops as nickels too, the gold reads in foil range...the gold I haven't found yet, that gold! :dontknow:

Msbeepbeep many many targets come up under nickel can slaw, beaver tails, ace bandage clasps, old pull tabs, the list goes on, digging these signals In a park is very tedious, but it's all up to the person that's searching an area that will hold these coins, I know their here that's why I for go all the junk, but I find them.....
