Hey all, happy mother's day. I went hunting for a couple hours at a elementary school. I got the usual change, a nice pair of silver hoop earrings and a couple rings, if the gold ticket is real that is both my first gold ring and diamond. It was pretty dirty when I found it I thought it was fake but after cleaning it looks pretty good. I can't read the hallmark very well, I think it says 14k though and it weighs 5 grams. I will have to take it to a jeweler I guess as I do not have any testers. Oh yeah found the fiver at another school where the plowed snow is melting. All in all a good day.
PS, I used my X-70 and this school had been cleaned out as there was no targets around any of the equipment, I hunted grass when there were kids and when they left I went back to the pea gravel and the gold ring was the first target I hit. About 6 feet behind the swingsets.
Update: I went by the jewelers and its a big fat negative on diamond
I ordered a gold tester so we will see if its really 14k in a few days, at least its partially gold so it will still count as my first gold ring 
which I will happily accept as there ain't alot of them around here.
