I found both of these in the same hole at a house that dates back to the early 1800s. Thanks for any help.

On the right how about a very small throwing knife. Somewhat similar in shape only.

Yes in shape only. I think we can rule out throwing knife because its brass.


The watch key fob idea may be a good one by Cru. Can we see more pics? Front back and side?

Better pics added. Both items were at same depth and actually touching each other in the hole.

I think the "key" may not be a watch key, but is instead may possibly be a victorian baby rattle with part of the handle broken off. these came in all shapes and sizes, and usually small enough that any company that made them today would be sued!
