Hey, birdman, have you tried doing a search on ebay for a similar item?

I'm pretty new at all this, but I've noticed a rather dreadful difference in what the coin books quote as prices and what you can get stuff for on ebay. :( I kind of think ebay has taken a lot of the $$$ out of selling coins.

Good luck and HH!

No Barnes and Noble over here.LOL I looked on ebay but got tired of looking. I have a coin book but only goes back to about 1850. I don't think I would sell it unless it was a nice chunck. I figure itin the shape its in it is not worth a lot ,I am just wondering. HH

I agree, If you can't purchase one as they can be a bit costly, you can always go to a well known book store like Barnes and Noble or maybe even Books a Million and browse a bit HH Art...

Hi,

I have the Catalog of World Coins for 1701- 1800, 1997 edition. Your coin is a 1792, I Mint, 30 Sols from France. The values in my book are listed as VG- $10, F- $25, VF- $75 and XF- $175.
With the scratches and broken piece, I think this coin would grade on the low end, no better than G.

Nice coin though.

Jeff
