Found This while searching bank rolls. I first thought it was altered, but after careful examination with 20D Nikon Mag. Lens it appears to be genuine. Thought I'd share.

Personally, I don't trust too many coin dealers. I would send it in to one of the valuation and authentication services like ANACS (American Numismatic Association) and have them "slab" it for you. That way they will seal it up and authenticate it as a true error.

but grading can cost alot and if the coin isnt worth more than the grading then its not worth sending it :-\ Reminds me, i havent searched thru any bankrolls lately...I find penny rolls are the only ones worth it cause you find wheats...All the other ones dont have anything good in em except an old nickel or two ;) seems all the silver is gone from the dime and quarter rolls, and no banks here have halfs >:(

Jake, I see you are in MA as I am. Up here in the northern part of the state, all the banks have halfs and even Eisenhowers!

cool, think iv been there a few times before...ever been detecting near westminster or anything?

I wish! I can't afford a detector. Know of anywhere around here that rents them?

BTW, sorry about thread jacking!

Thats a cool coin. I'd definitely would have it looked at
