No Idea what this is

I dug it at a local cathlic school. It was about 3 inches down. The school was built around 1900. Seems like bronze or copper. The sides were bent in. I tried to straighten them out, so I suspect they were originally straight.

I think its a Wolf. I remember having one when I was a Cub Scout in the very late 50's or early 60's.

Yes the ends should be straight and almost meet i think..

And yes its a neckerchief. That is the proper word.

Neckerchief slide. Not too old but, a nifty find. If you decide to pursure the sport of metal detecting I promise, You will find many more. Kids lost these all over the place....especially, school or church fields. Do you see the rope around the edges of your "neckerchief?" I think it is reffered to as a sailors knot

It is a cub scouts neck tie (hankercheif) slide. Also know at a certain age as "wolf pack".
