It's not magnetic.
It's HEAVY
To hard for lead
Quarter for size
Stove, or Fireplace piece??

Maybe part of a mantel clock ? The metal looks similar to Ormolu (copper/zinc/tin) wich is then guilded with an amalgam of gold and mercury .
