Back to the park today. I was pretty tired to start but just couldn't turn down this beautiful day! (Especially since they said it was going to get cold again. :( )

Anyway, didn't find too much and only stayed a little while. But, still, the finds found a way to be interesting.

I believe it's a spark plug gap tool. :dontknow:

Then, I called my shot on this coin. I said, "nickel".
Dug and saw it and said, "Yep".
Then I saw the condition & date, (haven't cleaned it)
And I said, "Nope! Silver!! Funny, didn't sound like silver."
So, I flipped it over to see the big mint mark.

I said, "Nope!?!?!" "???????" ??? :dontknow:

Actually, I didn't even know they had made a regular nickel in '42. (blush)
But, why did it come out in such good condition? Was down a good 6-8 inches. :dontknow:

Like I said, interesting! LOL

AND THEN.....out comes this thing! Kind of looks like there was either a loop or stud on the back at one time.

Military Captain? Or , maybe, captain of the soccer team? :dontknow:

Appears to be solid brass but I haven't tried to clean it yet.

Again, interesting!

Even when my ride showed up!

I may not have had a "classy" ride but it sure was interesting! LOL

Thanks for peeking!

That's a really neat collar disc. I did a search & came up with one that says CAPT & it's the fire dept as someone suggested. Although this is not like yours it may be of some relevance...

I'm impressed! I found one spot that spoke about accepted abbreviations of the military. "CAPT" is an accepted version. But, I have yet to find ANY buttons with the word actually on it!

WTG!

Thanks!
