Hit the beach today, no rings but I did find this nice piece marked 14K. It wasn't down that far into the sand, but when I would make a scoop it would fall through the hole and then back to the bottom. This happen a few times and I was almost ready to just say forget it, a pull tab falling through. But I was getting a different sound and thought maybe an earring so I kept at it. Finally I felt it was in my scoop, took it to shore and dumped it on the sand and saw gold right away. I checked for the chain but not to be.
