My detecting partner found this button about an hour ago (jerk!) on a revolutionary war site. I cried like a small girl for 15 minutes? :'(. Very ironic item to find on thr 4th of July, don't you think? It is obviously a political button but we wonder if it is a party type button or a civillian commemorative issue? Anyone have any ideas? None of my button books show such a button. But it is a really cool find. I would try Don Troiani at
http://www.dontroiani.com
If anyone can identify it, he would be the one. Great find. I went out today, being the forth, and thought I would find something great also. Found a 1930's RollFast bicycle badge. I'll trade you!!!...Lance
