No sun today – overcast little chilly, but a nice day on the bay

Extreme low tide, sure wish I had a thicker wet suit now, I am going to upgrade soon to maybe 5mm. U wet suit gurus have any info. Regarding this issue – I have 2mm deal now and it just will not cut the mustard.

Would consider a dry suit, they make some nice ones for river work and not for diving

Whoa... tough day.

How cold is it down there? Was 26 when I got to the beach on Saturday but I ended up having to tie my down coat around my waste after an hour or so. I've been using some Orvis breathable boot foot waders for a while. Of course, I don't go in very deep (still use a wader belt though just in case...)

max i have a farmer john wetsuit and a pair of neopreme waders. i put on the waders then put the farmer john wetsuit top over the waders. its not really a dry suit, but for all practical purposes it is. you have stay submerged above the top of the waders for several minutes before any water gets in. when its really cold i put on wetsuit bottoms, then waders, then wetsuit top along with cold water hood and gloves. i have hunted for hours in water that was 32 deg. with a snow storm in progress and stayed toastie warm!
