Non-dug Navy wings I can't figure out - Solved

I picked these up at a yard sale. I've searched all my Navy sites and can't find an ID.
Don't look like crew wings. Wings are 1 3/8" by 1/2". Any help is appreciated.

What is written on the back?

[Diggit]

Those are naval aviation "observer" wings.

Back reads:
Balfour Sterling
1-B

Yeah, they're definitely "Observer" wings.. Yours are towards the bottom of this page: WWII Navy Pilot WIng Minis - U.S. Militaria Forum

Thanks Diggit!
Great military site, BTW. It's been added to my favorites.
