Noob from Canada!

Hey was just browsing the interwebs and found this forum. I've been interested in metal detecting and just finding treasures for quite some time and I finally have enough to purchase a metal detector I need some easily available detectors in Canada for around 200-300 can be used! Will prob be using it on beaches and in thicker forest areas any suggestions? Oh ye and my names Derek nice to meet everyone!

Hey D.R., you should be able to get a descent MD in and around T.O., lots of dealers there may have used ones as well...that way you get to "see and try" what suits you too!

Looking at passing the beginner detectors and purchase a Fisher f4, with the Garrett ProPointer. Not wanting to upgrade anytime soon and they both have a good warranty time!
