North Carolina Nugget Hunters/Snipers?

Currently living in NC. It has been some time since I've TH'd/prospected. I suppose I got a bit burned out on it all in Ecuador. I'd like to pick up again with panning, high banking, detecting. How is the gold detecting in NC? Thanks.

Where at in NC? You can pan in Uwharrie, but no detectors allowed. Other than that you have either pay to play or get permission on private property. I'm President of the Statesville Chapter of the GPAA, so if close we have outings every month.
