Back a couple of weeks I wasn't sure about my Fisher. I am now starting to like it. I went out today for about 3 hours. This place has been hunted for years. I wanted to see if this ID Excel could get a little deeper than the previous detectors. I had my discrimination turned to +20 and 8 sensitivity. I found two old screw caps about six inches, and three silver coins 6 to 7 inches. This Hall was built in 1902. Burdie

Wow! Great looking coins! Glad to see you're getting to know the new detector! Give it another few weeks or months, and the finds will be even better! HH!

Wow Stan! That's a fantastic haul! Looks like the grounds around that hall sure make for some easy swinging this time of year. I'm glad to hear you like your Excel. I've thought recently about trying an ID Excel or Edge but for now it's the trusty 'ol CZ-6a which is a great one.

? ? Excellent finds!!!? ? ?I've always thought my ID Excel had good depth. It's just a deep coin and a deep pull tab (for my ears anyway) gets to be a little difficult to distinguish the difference in tone.
? ?Looks like you've got it figured out nicely though.? ?
I wonder what might be lying out there in nickels. WTG!!! HH

The Hall was used for social gatherings in a Check community. To bad the 1942 D dime wasn't a 2 over 1.

The area was settled about 1890's west of Caldwell. They have a Check cemetery out in the country that is neat. They were not treated very well for a lot of years. Now that their about gone everyone wants to celebrate their traditions. Don't figure.

Hey Stoney, going under the knife shortly. Do some hunting for me to. HH Burdie

Burdie,

That is a good machine. It took me over a year to understand my 1266x. Now I own an 1270 and a CZ-5 to go with it. There has to be a bit more silver where you got those. Good luck next time out!
