...when you get up in the morning and Matt Renoux with 9News Denver is doin a live weather report right outside your front door. At least I didn't have to go on the TV tellin what the tornado sounded like. They say we're on track to see one of those 100 year snowfall records for January. A-Basin ski area was evacuated and shut down yesterday due to avalanche concerns on the roads leading to it. I-70 is turning into the usual parking lot, but mostly due to avalanche problems. One thing you might not think about, but here in the High Country our fire hydrants stick up about 5 ft., still we get out and shovel them out as the city doesn't do that. I got this one around the corner from where I live. Good idea to shovel out gas meters, too.
