Not a ring but what is it.

I am starting to believe OWK is partially Right.

unless that is Strawberry Preserves & a little green mold

I'm wondering if someone turned a rifle sight into a ring

CURTAIN ROD RING ATTACHMENT FOR CURTAINS, MAYBE OLDER TYPE. JUST A GUESS

[Ant]

That looks like ceramic inlays. I've found lots of similarly constructed bracelet dressings, charms, and trinkets, they are common in school playgrounds.

I think you're right perhaps! It's too small to be a ring, on the ring sizer it's just about a size 1 but just under that. The inside diameter is 10 mm. I believe it is bronze or brass and the green coloring and red coloring on it are what's left of the corrosion stuck to it that I have not yet gotten off of it.

Hm, I thought at first maybe yes curtain rod but that rifle sight looks more like it!

[deepsecrets]

Harness eye off an old style deepsea fishing reel ?

I'm going to lie and say line guide off an old reel. Something like this.....

The two humps on the bottom would allow it to rock back and forth as you reeled the line in. Still looking for a match.
This reel is circa 1912.

[cw0909]

maybe boat hardware, and not a rifle sight
