Not Aztec RRRR but we'll take it ! Lake Geneva, North Florida hunt !
Todays hunt was a two hour hunt in a North Florida lake, Lake Geneva, and she's drying up... My dad and I decided to hit an area that has dried and now can access by foot.. I was using my Whites IDX my dad using his Whites Eagle SL II , In the hour , I found about a buck in change, my dad zero... after a while out on the lake bed we decided to call it an evening, on the way out to the car there was an area where a drainage creek runs into the lake, we decided to give it a go, two seconds later my dad is popping out what he thought was a penny, he said the ring was ringing a solid 54-55 on his readout,, but to his and my surprise a nice 14kt gold band... It was a 11.4 grams.. so.. just goes to show even when your down and out and thinking your hunt is a big zero.. you never know where that gold will show itself.. Thanks for viewing and happy hunting !
