Hello. I live in the Eugene Springfield area of Oregon United States. I used to haunt these pages quite a bit 20 years ago. Now I’m back. I’ve been detecting for 43 years. I mostly underwater detect now. Also I just got into prospecting and I’m doing a little gold hunting.

Welcome back.

I see you use an X2... may i make a suggestion...
Try running your coil wire away from the coil... straight away up shaft and coil under unit with zips.
You will be able to maximize your sensitivity and reduce falsing.

welcome back i see you use a hooka sytem witch one do you like best?
I bought the blue nomad first. It worked OK. Not much in the way of safety though. I sold it and bought the air buddy from Australia. I’m able to hook it up to a BCD. And it has an air reservoir around the unit. I’m not as in good shape as I used to be so anything below 25 feet deep I struggle for air a little. But most of my detecting is from 3 foot deep down to about 15 foot deep.

thanks for the info most of what i will be doing is going o be about that depth

Welcome back!
