Used to be a time, when you could clear your sinuses, by just sucking some water up through your nose, and blowing it back out. For years now, I have been hearing of this amoeba, that usually lives in the bottom sediment of lakes. rivers, streams, etc. A year or so ago, doctors were cautioning about not using those heating sinus cleaners, that they too can harbor this amoeba. Even telling Floridians, to be careful in their own showers, as under certain conditions, one may could become infected.........(it will take forever for me to find that article, I got too much happening, atm.)
So, I figure, we better start wearing our nose plugs in the showers/bath now, and don't swallow!
