This has me buffaloed. It is metal, sorta resembles a feminine tampon tube. The end seems to rule out lipstick.

The whole thing is metal.

Well we can rule out a shell seeing both ends are open. The crimped look of the other side reminded me of how blank rounds are closed.

Looks similar shape to the tire pressure gauges I dig up but mine are made of brass I could see that one having cheap metal internals that may have rotted out
