At least it’s a button!!! I couldn’t sleep so I worked all night and left on the hour drive at 5am, drive to the Rev Fort and worked those white shells for 2 hours. I was drenched by 8am. This is 10% dirt, 50% white shells 40% old brick and LOTS of iron bits and square nail. IMG_2810.webp

I got a small button that appears to say WARRANTED SUPERIOR. I can’t find much on this button. I think civilian button and that just the quality. And I found a round ball. Now I find lots of pellets of all different sizes, so I wonder if these might be a buck and ball from Rev time? Help me out lol Thanks for always looking at my painful hard work. very cool button, yep, hot and humid north of you. had to work on the truck earlier, did it in spells, hard to see with so much sweat in your eyes and glasses. And people pay good money to sit in a sauna, we got it for free here.

I’m soaked by 8am IMG_2864.webp

Nice looking ornate button & lead, you appreciate those finds more when you work hard for them, at least I'm told, HH

You need to dig everything "8" or over. Found an Indian brass point ($35 value), at that # on an 800 this spring.

Your persistence paid off with a real nice button with lots of detail and a handful of lead. Congrats

Cool find......

Nice work as always Truth! The button looks to be in great shape. The Romans used to use drinking vessels
made of lead because it sweetened the wine. Some folks believed that this may have contributed to the
decline of the empire. It sure explains Nero!
Nice toon!
Best wishes!

RE night hunting in La. Too many creepy crawlies!
