Took a walk around the old mill pond this morning. An empty bird nest in a wild plum tree, a duck, and a King Fisher. Too bad that dang twig was in the way. Only got one shot at him.

Don't see King Fishers around here. Don't know why either, but they just seem to not be around.

Your " not much " is like Robert DeNiro's "little" acting jobs! I don't know how you make your living, but you certainly missed your calling if it isn't through your pictures. Those kingfishers will make you lose your religion! I think wood ducks are some of the most beautiful in the wild. I am always excited to see you posting pics��

Yeah that's odd, They were around the Klamath Marsh, and the Little Deschutes River where I lived. A lot of them here too, but this is one bird that knows how to stay just out of reach of my lens.
