Not off to a good start

Tried my luck at hunting the last 2 days with unbelievable results. I went through 82 rolls of halves, and got skunked, but on the bright side I have 5000 brand new 2011 pennies!!! Both boxes were from PNC, but one was in DC and the other 65 miles away. Is it against the CRH code to ask if the pennies are new? I'm not even going to dump these. My youngest son was born this year so I'll keep a few rolls for him and just pay my 6 year old with the rest. He has a glass water bottle he's trying to fill up so he wont mind.

Bad luck with getting skunked. I got skunked today too on a box of halves. Most people in here hate it when they get solid rolls of new dates.. it's great you have a reason to gift those dated coins though. Do your youngest son a favor and get him some silver coins as well. And on that note: Keep huntin it's out there!

There was someone else on here from DC too I saw, maybe ask him?

If I'm buyin a box of nicks or pennies, I take a quick peek to see if they're new...
If they are, I tell them I am trying to fill coin books w/my boys and don't buy 'em.
The tellers are usu. pretty cool about it.
One more reason halves rule... When was the last te u got 1000 2011 D's in a box
