Not really 'found' German WWII half track bike

I was in a stubble field looking for some coins when a guy from the village took the chance to chat a bit about whats in the fields...
He drove over with a 1943 half track bike in very good condition....

Unfortunately no. But it was cool to see such a vehicle in the wild and not in a museum.

Saw one in Saving Private Ryan. Always wondered just what the the idea was behind them. Scout vehicle for rough terrain I imagine. Precursor to todays ATVs

I really don't know. I guess it's some serious dinero. He told me he traded two Zundapp KS750 in for the Kettenkrad. Looks he is not a poor man with having a Schwimmwagen (the German amphibious vehicle) too. A Schwimmwagen is a 6 digit car....
