Had two 7000s stolen from me among other items. Got it all back just a few days later, the 7000s would not turn on anymore, they got sent off and after two months I was told they would be getting to them soon.
The way I see it is that such a perfect machine takes a proper technician to repair and I am sure there are not that many proper techs out their with the professional training required to troubleshoot and repair certain Minelabs.
I my self have been through a great deal of training and education in various fields in a few countries, never once had it crossed my mind, nor have I ever met someone who wanted to be a Minelab tech or MD tech for that matter. I do not know much on the subject at all but I have owned a few kinds of MDs over the years and I love how Minelab just kills it all, so I would think those techs are a minority among all techs.
Sort like needing some work done on your Unimog, sure any 4X4 shop out there has a few mechanics who will claim they can fix everything, but really you do not want to take your tugger to just anyone.
Just my thoughts, took months but well worth it and no way would I ever switch to a lesser due to miscare.
