Had a meeting in a city an hour away so why not get some thrift store gleaming in also.
Sally-Ann was good for some cheap silver plate and a few grams of .925.
I kind of did better at the other thrift store.
Bought some sterling charms and 2 bangles, chain, big filigree earrings.
Total weight was 58.895 grams of .925 for $53.00 CAD
Best part of it the sales gal said: "I always save those we buy jewelry fliers-but I never go"
I looked at her and said I'll buy it from you.
Turns out she has at least 10 gold necklaces, her wedding rings, her fathers + mothers stuff.
I said do you want to do it here next week?
"Oh no! I don't want people snooping in my business-here's my number"
So it was a good day as well a great lead on a future purchase. One just doesn't know who they'll run into either.
She will talk to the general manager of the thrift store also for me to buy what's in storage for gold plated, gold, and sterling.
