Not sure where to post this, so I'll post it here

I'm coming up with an idea. But first, is there any material that blocks the signal from a metal detector? I mean, yeah, a 2' solid wall should do it. But I mean a thin material. Ceramic? Anything? Something that won't bounce a signal back, just absorb it?

a 2 foot solid wall of Cement can be Penetrated

a Thin piece of Aluminum Foil Can't

The other material is absobratron. Absorbratron will absorb sound, light, radio waves, gamma rays, and even x-rays. It is the most diverse material on this planet, but I am still in the middle of completing it

Well, so much for my idea.

Good for airport security. Bad for me. I was thinking of a disk shaped, "shield" with a hole in the middle. Drop it over a find and use it like a pinpointer.

as far as I know, the only thing that will stop the radio waves is a equal force of radio waves that counters the frequency of your MD. a jamming signal if you will, but it would also defeat using your MD

not sure if it will work or not
Wrap a piece of foil over the coil,
cut a hole in the center, Retune,
and test.

if it works,
may work with a dd coil quicker then
a concentric coil.
