Found this on a Fur Trade Site, thinking it's a cover to a percussion cap container. Any thoughts or knowledge on this?

Looks Art Deco-1920's to me. I would try the What Is It forum for a positive ID. :icon_thumright:

Agreed.

Just a guess but the female figure suggests the possibility of being part of some type of a ladies makeup container.
 
My thoughts exactly, ladies compact lid. Just my opinion though. :)
