This is a new one for me. The base is fish tail like and the material is very rough. Its an old and worn one for sure. Unlike most of mine, it was found way away from the water, high up on a trail. Any ideas of the type and age?

That is a different one. I can't help you too much.
Congrats, spend some more time up on that trail.

By the way it's good to see ol' Charlie again. I'll have to get a new pic. of Buckeye. He's turning redder.

Nice Find Hiram!

Roger that brother. This is the second point within two weeks that I have found on that trail and you can bet that I will be on it more often. Its one that Charlie enjoys walking on but I have never looked to hard for points. I will from now on. Yea... lets see some recent pics of Buckeye. he's a good looking dog and its obvious that he is a very happy one at that. Stay safe.

wher did you find it?

Hi Greg. Im in Northern VA. My usual site is at the river's edge..... in the sand. This trail is up high, overlooking the river. Its an old trail with all kinds of Indian, and civil war history. At various points along the trail, I find lots of white quartz flakes, as though the maker sat on the high ground, enjoying the view as he worked. But this is a new shape and material for me. It also has that very old feeling to it. The tip is broken off and the flaking seems rather crude. Thanks for looking.

One always finds the good stuff in the east  Thanks.

Looks like an Otter Creek to me, exhausted one too. They are found in your area. Nice find.

Molly.

Sweet! I have not heard of them yet. I will read up on them and start to keep an eye open for them. Thanks again.
