Bob and myself were diggin at our favorite honey hole today and i popped this out of the ground.
After bending over for countless quarters and a few dimes and pennies we decided to go for quarters and nickles only.
We can always go back and dig the small stuff.
I think Bob ended up with over 40 clad quarters. I got 23 quarters 16 nickles, 15 dimes and 10 memorial pennies.
No Silver or trash to speak of yet. :dontknow:
I`ve already searched the web with no luck so i`m posting it here in hopes someone has seen one like it before.

82 Airborne coin of some sort.
Thanks for everyones 2 cents in advance.

FYI on the back under who i think is Iron Mike, are the words:
In honor of the Airborne Trooper whose courage, dedication & traditions make him the worlds finest fighting man.

Certainly looks like Iron Mike, and could be a challenge coin or a memorial coin. But looking through Google images for Iron Mike coin, 82nd airborne coin, 82nd airborne challenge coin, Iron Mike Challenge coin, then replacing coin with medallion, and Medal in all of the repeated searches I can't find one matching it.

Really cool coin, and one of the reasons I constantly watch the What is it section, I not only get educated by the knowledgeable people here, but also learn a lot on my own trying to research things for people. Can't wait until I find something worth posting!

What stands out for me is the 82nd Airborne Association most would say Division, so this leads me to believe that it might be associated with Veterans of the 82nd or something else. Just my take on it though, all my coins say Squadron, Wing, Division etc.

Edited/Added

Notice the site in the link, they have the exact copy of the one side of the coin on the right hand side. You might be able to E-mail them about yours.
