Nothing exciting but a first for me

After clearing some junk around an old foundation I decided to see if I'd have any luck without the junk lying around. I've metal detected this area a ton but it's so trashed it's hard to find much. But looked for squeaker signals in hope of deep coins. Got a squeak and dug around a inches I nudge something. I pull out a belt buckle but one that is I think synthetic material or could be leather(doubtful). The tiny bits of metal made my metal detector go off that are in back. These dry mountain grounds let these things survive sometimes.

I was just happy to find something besides darned 60s pull tabs. There was a small bar here and man they left pull tabs all over

Yes indeed and have to dig them or you'll miss gold. Some places are infested with them and drive me nuts

Thanks I thought so too, but definitely didn't expect the deep signal to be a buckle. I was hoping it was old but doubtful it was quite deep though

It looks like 60's or 70's era.

That's quite possible around the time the bar was there and I think the house was in use
